Whitewater Aviation Corporation

The perfect landing for your "one-stop" mountain adventure!

Hans van Ovost is the owner-operator of Whitewater Aviation at Martin Campbell  Field, 1A3.  Martin Campbell Field is located in beautiful Polk County, Tennessee.  The airfield is centrally located in the Blue Ridge Mountains for your "get-away" adventures!  This is an awesome airport location, especially for those quick weekend vacations for hiking, biking and white water rafting!

Hans has plans for a self-service 100LL fuel farm, new T-hangars, aircraft and avionics maintenance and transient hangars. Currently, we are restoring the 80' x 100' hangar and offices. (Click here to
see new pictures of our progress on our pictures page.) We are still waiting for the Airport Master Plan to be approved by the state so we can proceed with moving dirt and placing our self-service fuel farm.

BREAKING NEWS:
Bret Smith is our newest employee as our CUSTOMER SERVICE Representative. He will be devoting his efforts as the "local" contact for the FBO and serve as a coordinator between the engineering firms and the future development of the airport.
He already supports 1A3 as the AOPA airport Support Network Representative.
Bret is an avid supporter of EAA and has his own RV-9A builder's web page link on our "links" page at: flightinnovations.com
Welcome aboard Bret!

About the area: A two hour drive north of Atlanta lies the Tennessee Overhill Country.
This mystical, mysterious place is older than the Cherokee Nation and dappled with the magic of music, mountains and moonshine. Distinctively different, the moon shines over some of the United States best white water rivers, crystalline lakes, deeply wooded forests and some of the warmest, most colorful Americans still breathing.

So, what's your pleasure? Whitewater rafting?
Kayaking?  Camping?  Hiking?  Fishing?
Hunting?  Nature-watching?
Whatever your mountain adventure dream, you can find it here in Polk County Tennessee!

About the owner: Hans van Ovost has over 30 years fixed base operation experience.  He started at Fort Pierce, Florida municipal airport when it was just another non-towered airport without facilities.  Through Hans' efforts, it has become St. Lucie County International Airport (FPR) with paint, upholstery, avionics, and maintenance shops.  It is now a major business and transportation hub which has brought new businesses to the local area and increased the revenue of the county.
